Vivien Dress Twilight

10 if you include the one in Astro which is on the way. The first one I bought was in Twilight, which I loved so much that when it wore thin on the shoulders (due to backpack straps) I simply bought another one exactly the same to replace it!

I fluctuate between sizes and I've been buying them for years - peep the vintage Ika print, iykyk - so I have sizes M to 3XL and honestly the 3XLs still fit fine, I just actually use the waist tie. I don't normally use the waist tie for extra comfiness and because of the cut it's loose without looking a shapeless sack.

I keep buying Viviens because they tick all the boxes for work: neckline not low, hemline not high, shoulders covered for sun at lunch, pockets fit my huge phone and enough other stuff that I don't need a handbag, fabric thickness and stitching are consistently good.

The only feedback I have is around colours and button placement, but these are personal preferences. I sew in a snap to make an (invisible) additional button halfway between the bottom button and the hem. This stops the dress from flapping open at the split on windy days. It only ever goes as high as mid-thigh, so if you've never bought a Vivien before don't worry, it's not indecent or anything. I just prefer it and I would be overjoyed if it was a real button with a button hole that's already there when I buy it.

I'd love to see more choices for Viviens in "warm" colours, but again this is just personal preference. For example, I have the Polly Pocket corduroy tunic in Zinfandel and I am OBSESSED with that colour.

I have about half a dozen other Karma East dresses in different cuts but it's hard to go back to other dresses when you haven't had to think about bra vs neckline logistics, or do-I-wear-tights-under-this, or the existence of zips for a while.

If I win the $200 voucher for writing a review you'd better believe I'm using it to buy two more Viviens haha

The Vivien dress is lovely to look at and wonderful to wear. The fabric is good quality and the pattern is lovely and bright. I am very happy with my purchase.

Love the color, the type of fabric

I thought i bought one with a similar neckline as above, but mine is a full neck collar.

I wish the pockets sat a bit lower.

The one thing i struggle with is having a large chest and then having it fit weird in places. I will likely custom tailor it to make the adjustments.

But quality wise- so worth it. Got 3 compliments the first day i wore it

Love the colours in this pattern

This is my third Karma East dress, but my second Vivien. I love the fit and the style, but I also appreciate the quality. I usually try not to shop for clothing at thrift stores, but sometimes you need a new dress! My rule for myself is that anything new should be natural fibre and not support fast fashion monoliths. The pieces I've ordered from Karma East are nice, thick cotton with high quality stitching. I think they'll last for many years. My only suggestion is to expand the sizes to include people who prefer, or require, larger sizes.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I ordered this dress, but I took a chance because it looked so pretty. Shipping to Canada took less than a week! it’s become one of my favourite pieces almost instantly. It’s super lightweight but surprisingly not see-through at all (always a win when you don't have to worry about putting something underneath). The length is perfect—I’m 5'6" and it hits right around the knee. It feels polished without being too formal or frumpy. I’ve already worn it to work and then a dinner date and got so many compliments. This dress just makes me feel put-together without trying too hard. I definitely will be buying another!

Ordered a size up for extra room at the bust and fits perfect. Love the fact that it is 100% cotton and doesn’t make me sweat like all the synthetic fabrics. I even got a lot of compliments wearing my Vivien dress. I live in Belgium and need to pay extra (costums), but will be ordering again for sure!

I’m reluctant to buy clothing online as can’t be bothered returning clothes if they don’t fit. My sister bought a Vivien dress so tried hers on and as it fitted knew my sizing. I love the colours and design, fits beautifully, looks great. Thank you.

Gorgeous, vibrant colours. Love this dress. I have 3 Vivien dresses, im a size 14 and this is a size L and is a perfect fit.
